I am very familiar with radar being a commercial pilot. This is the most sophisticated extremely sensitive unit I’ve owned and its simple to set up and operate. Its mounted on my dash because I cant reach the windshield from the drivers seat. The radar detector functions excellent. It goes off in town now and then from other sources but all detectors do that. You can tell if its a bogus hit simply because it will only read out KA band, but a police radar hit will show the frequency he is using.
